ROCK PANTHEON! GO!
I've wanted to start a game where the players are traveling group of bards perhaps in a Brutal Legend-esque setting with these gods. I think it'd be really sweet and if executed correctly a whole lot of fun. But first, let's start by creating a new D&D 3.5 pantheon for them would be awesome if it included legendary musicians! I got most of these from a thread on 4chan and saved the best ones. See if you can add to it!
The god of the cosmos and magic, David Bowie, is chaotic neutral. His followers include astronomers and arcane spellcasters. The domains he is associated with are Knowledge, Trickery, Magic and Chaos. His favored weapon is the quarterstaff.
The god of freedom and sexual prowess, Freddie Mercury, is chaotic good. His followers include bards, fighters, champions and fat-bottomed girls. The domains he is associated with are Freedom, Luck, Good and Chaos. His favored weapon is the longsword.
The god-triad of dwarves, ZZ-Top, is lawful neutral. Their followers include dwarves and bearded men. The domains they are associated with are Law, Earth and Strength. Their favored weapon is the battleaxe.
The god of obnoxious ugliness and death-defying speed, Lemmy Kilmeister is Chaotic Neutral. His followers include illusionists, alterationists, disenfranchised paladins, barbarians, and skalds. The domains he is associated with are Speed, Illusion, Chaos, and Freedom. His favored weapon is the warhammer.
The god of undeath and wealth, Keith Richards is worshiped by necromancers and ambitious or unscrupulous professionals of all stripes. He is True Neutral and associated with the domains of Death, Healing, and Luck. His favored weapon is the syringe.
The god of traditional values, Elvis Presley, is lawful good. His followers include paladins, good fighters and the common man. The domains he is associated with are Law, Good, War and Protection. His favored weapon is the longsword.
The god of peace and good will, John Lennon, is neutral good. His followers include elves, gnomes, pacifists and druids. The domains he is associated with are Good, Earth, Plant and Travel. His favorite weapon is the quarterstaff.
