The All-American Rejects show

What an awesome night! All week I had been trying to get Outback to let me have off tonight. I requested it off months ago but they still scheduled me! So i made a deal with them and went in and just did opening work and then left. From there i went and picked up Kris and we drove to Joey's. We loaded up in Joe's car and headed off to Ft Lauderdale to see the All-American Rejects. It was at Club Revolution. (We passed Jhonny's and Michael's again it was funny. Read my Jimmy Eat World post if you dont get that) We were hungry so we decided to look for somewhere to eat. Joey had never been to Hooters and he really wanted to go so we went and had burgers there. IT took really long for some reason and we ended up missing "Over it" the opening band. I heard them as i walked in but when we actually got inside they were done playing.

We waited a bit and then HelloGoodbye took the stage. They were actually pretty decent. The lead singer was like wearing short shorts and awas barefoot. It was odd. After the show i wanted to buy their CD but the line was too long. Oh well. We worked our way to the front and then waited for AAR to take the stage. It was really hot in there so we were all fanning ourselves. They took the stage and played a suprisingly short set. But it was very high energy and they just plain rocked live. During The Last Song the singer jumped into the audience and sang from there. I was close enough to touch him well i did actually. My phone dies because i forgot to plug it in so when i tried to take a picture it didn't work. It would have been a great picture moment. Kris seemed to enjoy her first concert and that's awesome. After they got off stage we were standing around and people were fighting for the lead singers shirt. Kris was like lets stay and look for picks. It was funny because that's what i always do after concerts and she suggested it. I found an All American Rejects pick and she found a HelloGoodbye one. It was pretty cool. I gave her the AAR pick because it was her first concert and that's just something cool for her to always remember it by. The setlist as i remember it was:

One More Sad Song
Time Stands Still
Why Worry
My Paper Heart
Dirty Little Secret
Move Along
Your Star
Swing Swing
The Last Song

After the concert we went to IHOP and all had milkshakes. Talked a bit and made it to Joey's. We went swimming on the pool thats on his roof. Then we took buckets of water and threw them on peoples cars from 8 stories up. It was great. Joey hit this car while it was moving it was hilarious. Then we all ran inside. We looked out his balcony to see if the guy was still there because he got out of his car trying to figure out where all the random water came from. Then we all just talked for a while. Too bad Kris had to be home or else we'd probably still be there talking. I got Kris home by a little after 2. It was definitly a great time and I'm so glad that Kris enjoyed it because now I'll get to go to lots of concerts and have someone to go with. yay!1one
