We had a gorgeous sunset last evening. The clouds here get very pink and orange.

All our birds are doing well. We get five or six visitors from Site 2 every day now and many of our birds show up there. They’ll make the two mile flight several times a day. The Aplomados are getting downright feisty. A mere 5 minutes ago, an Aplo chased a cattle egret right out of the air. The egret actually landed on the hood of the truck, about 2 feet from the blind. He could have caught the egret if he’d really wanted to, but I think he was just after the chase. It was pretty thrilling for Daleesa and I!

The egret seems to be sticking around for some reason. Here it is sitting very foolishly on Tower 2. The two birds on Tower 1 are ignoring it in favor of delicious quail heads, but I doubt that will last.

37G is a pretty, pretty boy.
