Not a ton going on today. It was a very slow morning. However, I got a picture of the coyote that was barking at us. It started up when we climbed the tower and didn’t stop until we were back in the blind.

Only about half our birds showed up for breakfast. It was and is extremely windy today, so many of them may be sitting tight. U3 did come in and her wing is looking much better.

One exciting bit of news is that late last evening, Daleesa spotted a female come in acting very nervous and try to snatch food off the tower before flying away. We suspect this was B1G, who has been off the radar for 5 days. If they’ve been gone too long, the falcons seem to forget everything they knew about the towers and the other birds. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen her today and she didn’t look good last night.

On a more positive note, we got our first visitor from Site 2 today. 62Red was sitting on the tree perch looking very much at home when we pulled up for evening session. He is one of the older birds from over there and the one Kristen told me was the most likely to go wandering.
