one week.
all that hard work yesterday paid off. even though a short-stay visa takes two weeks to process, the lady noticed that i leave the 20th, so she said she would process the paperwork and get it to me by the 17th or 18th, meaning less than a week, and with a weekend and MLK day to factor into this time. holy fucking shit. how awesome is that?!
i was so excited i danced in the elevator, and then jammed g.b.h. until i got too tired (meaning i got sleepy and took a nap on the side of the road). i also celebrated by buying cute underwear (though i wasn't buying it for celebratory reasons, really).

this is the only time in my life that i've actually seen merit in waking up at 5am to get something accomplished. i'm so pleased with everything.
