"Mrs. Skeeter, thank you so much for taking the time to meet with me," Veronica said as she walked in. "I hope you don't mind if I record our conversation," she continued, pulling out her spiffy digital recorder.

Rita eyed the recorder. "I haven't the faintest idea how that thing works, but if it'll help you, that's fine. And it's Ms., not Mrs."

Veronica turned the recorder on and then dug out her tablet. She was still smiling brightly.

"Okay, then," she said. "Your full name, age and title, please?"

[getting ready to head out from work... back on in about 90 minutes]

"Professor Ms. Rita Skeeter, aged thirty-six," Rita said promptly.

Veronica's eyebrow might have gone up a half a millimeter at the thirty-six comment, but she let it pass for the moment.

"And can you tell me a little about your life before Fandom High?"

"I was an acclaimed journalist for the Daily Prophet, which is a rather famous London-based newspaper. I left my job there last June, and have been working on my memoirs since," Rita said.
