I should be studying for my test in Chaucer at 2pm or even my Kanji quiz on Friday, but no...
skyangel2009 shouldn't be allowed to give me any ideas...I have a tendency to run with them
Bleach and Middle Earth....what could be better?!?
According to Natalie's Tolkien class the Rohirrim are "men that love to fight" making them the 11th Squad of Middle Earth. When I heard that last night I laughed and thought that then the 4th Squad equivalent must be the Hobbits in the Shire...they certainly aren't fit for battle at any rate. This was followed by a mental image of Hanataro as a Hobbit w/ very furry feet.
I thought that this was the end of it. I was wrong. I got bored in Physics class (what else is new?) While my professor was explaining the concepts of engines and work and P vs V graphs I was letting my mind wander freely...the results?
- The men of Gondor would be 10th Squad...Shorty et al are almost always sent straight to the front line at the first sign of trouble
- Gandalf is the somewhat more hands-on equivalent of Urahara...they're both manipulative and seem to know everything
- Sauron is obviously Aizen, making the Arrancar the Orcs and Urukhai (sp?)...the position of Saruman could go to either Gin or Tousen...I can't really decide
- For Byakuya really the only choice is Elrond...I mean who else in Middle Earth has that large of a superiority complex?
- Frodo would have to be Ichigo's equivalent, though I'm thinking it's probably more fun to be a subsitiute shinigami than a ring bearer...
- Sam = Chad (I dare you to object, especially in light of the last bullet point)
- Ishida as Legolas...pretty boys with arrows!
- Choices based off of the Byakuya - Elrond choice
- Rukia as Arwen (overprotective brother, overprotective father...close enough)
- Renji as Aragorn...I don't know what kind of king he'd make, but there's no way he'd get to marry Rukia without being one (and even then I doubt Byakuya would approve)
I'm gonna stop now and return to pretending to study...
