Cheney, Kuhl, Faso, etc...

Campaign season is here!!! (yes, I know its been here for awhile, but this is when its heating up!)

Last Friday, a few of us went downtown to show our support for Vice President Cheney and Representative Kuhl. The College Republicans were way outnumbered by the protestors (about 12 of us vs. 250ish of them). But we were able to get out point across, and...because there was so few of us we were on all the news stations! It was lots of fun though and it was great to hang with some CR's from other schools.

Last night, the Naz CR's took a road trip to Cornell University. After the long carride, we found the campus and even found a parking spot! Faso gave us free shirts and we rallied in support of him, yet again outnumbered by the opponent, Spitzer. I got to shake Faso's hand! We were able to get tickets into the debate between Faso and Spitzer. The debate was a live telecast. It was wonderful! Faso held his own and Spitzer...well, he was an ass as usual! Being at Cornell really made me appreciate the small size of Naz though, that place is huge!

In the weeks to come we have: Protesting Cindy Sheehan at SU, supporting Spencer in the Spencer vs. Clinton debate downtown, and of course the Election Night Festivities at the Clarion (yay for getting drunk with the old folks!)
