holy shit, regina spektor...in concert=SO CUTE. for real, shes just the most adorable thing alive. she came up on stage, stated that this is her first time in Ohio, and her first time in Cleveland hahhah so cute. she sang so many good songs, just her and her piano...and for one song, she played the wooden chair that was sitting next to her with a drum stick while she played the piano with her other hand. THAT was cool. so original...and so not perfect. you go to concerts, and the performers are almost assholish up there on stage, thinking theyre the best thing in that building. they play a perfect set, so it almost seems like your standing in a crowd of people listening to a CD being blasted through giant speakers. not regina. she was imperfect, and she didnt care. during encore she was playing a john lennon cover, which she messed up on, stopped and said "i practiced this morning i promise". towards the end of her set, 2 guys jumped up on stage and frightened her, and after 2 other guys came off the side of the stage to grab the stage jumpers and escort them off stage, she started to laugh a sigh of relief "please dont hurt them, but please dont jump up here...its kinda scary" it was also the first concert ive actually been drunk(or close enough for me) for, seeing how alyssa doesnt drink, i tend not to drink because i dont want to be the only drunk person around and im usually the one driving so it wouldnt be cool for me to drink...but since alyssa drove and we met up with alyssas cousin Jen in lakewood before the concert, not only did i have a drinking buddy, but i didnt have to worry about the drive home! yayyyyyyyyyyy fun times fun times.
