Stay in the U District. You should get a snazzy studio like mine. You know you want one. Give in! The power of suggestion compells you!

What about a flat house? Best of both worlds...

Seriously, though, things will work out. Even the best of living situations involve drama at the househunting stage. On the bright side, wherever you go, you know you'll now have full access to a coffee machine and actual (God forbid) cooking utinsils. Trust me. Things could be a lot worse. :)

a) 1 or 2 max. more can be unwieldy and frustrating.
b) U-DISTRICT. no question.
c) based on a), apartment.

d) are you looking for summer too? cuz now is a horrible time to look if you want to start in Sept or something.
e) make sure the toilet flushes, the apartment hasn't been broken into, it doesn't get mold (or multitudes of other pests), and ask about laundry and how long it takes someone to fix stuff. I'm happy with my apartment, but man have I heard horror stories. also, I've been told to avoid Coho - cheap, but annoying. If you want help looking, I can help with suggestions or what to ask...

Any advice for a graduating senior getting kicked out of Steven's Court the day after commencement?
All I really want is a room with private bathroom, $450 or under where I don't have to fear excessive buglary or mold or gross conditions, etc. 3month or shorter lease would be awesome.

I'm wary of the area around 50th & the Ave. Mucho disconcerting sometimes.

thanks a billion for any help!

unless it's a room in a house or you have a few roommates, that price is pretty much impossible.

I don't know many specific places. it just takes hunting around.

good luck.

No offense or anything, but how do I know you? How did you reach this posting?

(Don't get me wrong, I'm all for making new LJ friends, I'm just trying to figure out how you got here...)
