breaking it down....

Jul 19, 2005 22:49

friday was my last day at jerry's. my niece jeni was in Midland with my other sister and her and the boys got in a big fight and she got in trouble, so she kept calling me at work, crying and asking me to come get her.

so kristy and i trucked it to san angelo and met my sister and steve and jeni at Mejor Que Nada. there, we had dinner and good conversation, then they went back to Midland and jeni, kristy, and i trucked it back here. we got back to brownwood about 10:30. went by kristy's so she could get some clothes (rylee was with grady), then to wal mart for some necessities, theeeeen finally to my sister's about 12:30.

i had about 5 smirnoffs. good enough for a small buzz. kristy finished half of one and passed out. literally. asleep on the couch.

saturday wasn't much. we all woke up close to noon. cleaned a little. i started drinking again around 4:30 or so. and took a few hydrocodone which made me sick. bleh. we went to jerrys and got a sandwich, went by kristy's for her to get more clothes. took rylee back to grady's. umm...i know most of what we did that night, but i have no sense of chronological order for that night. i know i talked to my ex girlfriend. actually, my FIRST girlfriend, Amanda on the phone for at least an hour. it was weird but cool. but weird. i also talked to Cheyenne Grice. this girl i went to school here with. she moved to Coahoma though like 2 years ago. well, she got my address and i got a letter from her today. two pages with like 9 pictures of her in it. (lots of senior and softball pictures) it was cool. she's a really sweet girl. my parents liked her a lot. so, the pictures were actually for me and my family.

ummm...oh. jeni and kristy went to kristy's around 10 that night for something and i insisted they bring the rum back. they did. kristy never got any. i drank it all. i was so wasted. it was so fun. and STILL i was the LAST one to go to sleep. dummies.

um um um. stuff happened yesterday (monday) that i will not talk about. bc as far as the two people it concerned...it was a dream. nothing ever happened. there were no words spoken or anything seen. nothing. and i...really like it that way. i don't know. it was a tough situation. and i cried. i fucking CRIED. i hated that. but anyway.

i got home at like 2:30 this morning. (from my dream, that is.) and i passed out, i was so exhausted. my mom woke me up at 9:30 this morning. my stepdad used to work for southwestern bell (sbc, whatever...) and he retired like a year and some months ago. well, he is a bible/book addict, so he wanted to have his own little bit of money to spend on whatever he wanted. so, he got this job as a meatcutter at this little market on 3rd St. called King's. that's bc when he was in his teens, he cut meat before the navy and before SBC...for quite a while. so, yeah. he called this morning and said he needed me. they were short, it was only him and Thomas...and they needed help. so, i was like, "I'm tiiiired! no!" but i got up, showered, and went to work.

so, bc he's my stepdad and he runs the meat market there... (it's small, but full line) of course, he is going to teach me everything. most of the other people (referred to as the crazies) who work there just wait on people and stuff. while my stepdad cuts and waits on people. soooo, i'm waiting on people and learning to cut. meat. bloody, yucky MEAT. it's gross, but of course i don't let it show that it gets to me. i mean....i don't have a weak stomach and i'm not like, "Eww, i'm not touching that! i'm not doing that!" i don't care. it's a damn job and i get paid. but, i can just hear the cows mooing and the pigs oinking. i don't like that.

the other downside is...i open at 8 in the morning and get off at 7pm. oh, yay. i get between and hour and an hour and a half lunch break though. the concrete floor is hell on my feet.

the very LARGE upside is that i get paid EVERY saturday night. in CASH. and, i make $6 an hour. which is hard to find in DEADwood. but, i will probably get a raise very soon. the old people, the Kings, who own it, like me. and love my stepdad. so yeah.

it's definitely not the kind of job i'm wanting, but it will do for now. at least i can pay my cell bill and my credit card bill. yay!

speaking of jobs/careers/etc...the state school called me!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!! big fucking YAY! i have an interview thursday at 1:30 at the Ron Jackson Complex Unit II. but, i'm interviewing for the hilltop unit. to be a correctional officer. ohhhhhh yeah. to start out, i would be making close to $2000 a month. and the state has AAAAAAAAAAAmaaaaazing benefits. so, yes. wish me luck with that, bc i hear it usually takes between 3 and 5 interviews to get on out there.

um, so tomorrow through saturday i will be at the store for most of the day. i think i'll sneak in my sis' back door like i always do on my lunch break and hang out there. plus, the kids are gone to discovery camp for the week or something like that, so they won't be around being loud.

aanyway, it's 11 now and i have to get up at 7:15. ugh.

goodnight
