wow.... for the first time ever I hired a babysitter and hobbitmate and I went on a date (ok, not the first time for the date, but you get the idea). One of my former students agreed to risk life and limb with the twins. Hobbitmate and I went to an absolutely beautifully located restaurant....
www.redfishgrill.net totally awesome. We watched the sun set over the horizen and the lights come up on the waterfront and we had amazing food on an outside terrace and--here's the kicker folks... I actually got to eat my food before it got cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't have to cut anybody's meat but my own....(no snide jokes please) and I wasn't constantly cringing hoping that nobody was noticing my usually extremely loud family. Sigh. I began to feel this warm, cozy, friendly thing that I have most recently associated with copious amounts of alcohol... but I wasn't drinking! I even managed to only call home twice!! It was a near perfect evening. The actual date of the anniversary isn't until Monday, but Saturday night was a little piece of the honeymoon....
Now I have to go sell my kidney on Ebay to pay for it.... LOL
It's moments like that that tell me things WILL get better.
