Accomplishment!

Yesterday, I did something that I thought merited a post here.

For the first time ever in my whole life, I was able to pull out my sewing machine and change the thread, meaning wind the bobbin with the new color thread and thread the machine without any problems or frustrations WHATSOEVER. This was a big deal to me and gives me hope for my future sewing projects.

Also, last Monday I gave Harley, the horse I'm leasing in Novato, a full-body massage which he really seemed to enjoy. So yay for getting back into that.

Otherwise, still fighting my procrastination on the job search issues.
Just heard that Shoji just picked up a part-time position, so yay for him.

Notes: I'm using my Facebook account to post pictures now. The economy-stuff is scary but I'd feel a lot better about it if I believed it would push people and governments in more sustainable, human-scale economic directions, but I don't think most people are ready for that yet unfortunately. I also learned how to make tempura vegetables last night at a Bay area friend's house and that was fun. So far, I have horse plans on Monday and Wednesday of next week and that feels good. I don't know how I'm going to buy land/build my own home, but I still want to.
