The Wind is Changing

I am two weeks into my third and final trimester at school, and I am already praying for the end.  School is just a way of inflicted treachery on poor young adults, and I can't wait to get out of here and get my ass to across the border.  I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do for a living, so I think I'll just kind of make things up as I go along.  I'm good at improvising.

Not that anyone cares considering the fact that no one ever reads my journal entries, but I'm taking a couple of shitty classes this term.  My schedule looks something like this:
1. Math (FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AT 7:45.  It is hell.)
2. English (Actually, a pretty fun class.  Except we're reading A Raisin in the Sun AGAIN.  And I hate it....AGAIN.)
3. Capstone U.S History (Actually I would love this class if it wasn't designed for workaholics and I hadn't failed the first two terms...It really blows because I actually love history.)
4. Band (legitimately fucking amazing.)
5. Chemistry (Worst.Class.Ever.  I kid you not.  Chemistry is that dark cloud that ruins my blue sky.  DIE ELEMENTS DIE.)

Haha, yes I am totally negative, but honestly, it's the only way to get through life.  However, there is light even in these dark times! I am learning to play guitar and ukulele which is of course, utterly fantastic, and I am also getting a lot of literature read and written.  It's like a muse renaissance haha.

And of course, even when I'm thrown back into fits of depression, Due South is always there to save me.  Honestly, nothing cheers me up more than a Canadian dressed in red serge with a deaf wolf.  After watching Slings & Arrows, I feel sort of spoiled when it comes to the telly, but Due South is sustaining me for now at least.  I am obsessed, I am hooked, and I am addicted, and I LOVE IT.

So I'm off to learn about Chicago tenements in the 50's....Great....

Much Love,
Marianne
