one of my aims when starting this new journal and abandoning the old was that i might be more inclined to update it. obviously, this has failed miserably.
I have been staying at my brother's this week to watch his dogs while he is on vacation. I had goals of writing and reading a great deal, neither have come to fruition. On the plus side, I have become so bored and despondent at this point in time that I feel the next few days must allow me some level of productivity. I cannot play any more video games or watch any more tv, this is certain. so the goal for sunday and monday (since i am working tomorrow) is to find myself a new job. Something that does not allow the mind to wither away to nothing all day. And that pays better.
Everyone should try to go to their local library and see if they can pick up volumes of Transmetropolitan. It's a series of graphic novels and damn is it good. It's basically about a very Hunter Thompson esque journalist character in the future. Amazing storytelling, both hilarious and incredibly relevant to our current political climate.
