i am a little bit drunk. just a tad though.
i got stopped on the way home from work at a sobriety/security checkpoint. i had my big ass bong in the trunk of my car. the car in front of me was being searched, trunk and all, while i waited behind it. you'd think this would make me nervous, but no. i had no doubt that i would not be searched. why? i am white. the guy in front of me who was being searched was black. ah, amerika.
it did make me think about the legality of such things a bit though. i know that if they're stopping everyone and doing random searches, it is legal. but can they still search the trunk of your car? i mean, if you say they can, they obviously can, but can they without your permission? i know there is some separate thing about the trunk from the rest of your car. is a checkpoint enough to get access to it? katie, you've had a solid year of law school, answer my question.
i am currently listening to some aloha, and wondering why i haven't listened to this band in like 2 years. i am sure if i listened to it more it wouldn't be so awesome, but right now, it's making me really happy.
the last week or so i have been practicing my super mario bros 1 game. apparently there is a world records book for video games, and me and hook have both beaten the record for mario 1. probably a couple other of sellew 3'ers too. so now i am practicing, and will document the breaking of the world record (the record currently stands at 5 minutes and 9 seconds). how cool would it be to say you have the world record in something, no matter how trivial?
