in other news, i got a raise at work today. this is bittersweet, as i was going to ask for a raise this week up to 8.50 an hour. since that is what my boss pays her idiot 16 year old do nothing brother, i feel i deserve the same at least. but before i even said anything she told me she was giving me a raise to 8 an hour. not that i'm not glad to be making more, but...i feel like now i can't say i want another raise, because that would probably just seem ungrateful, etc. if i had said it before, i feel like i probably would have gotten it. but who knows for sure? should i say something now or wait a while? my guess is that i should probably wait. i did tell the guy paying the bill for the party i worked tonight about our tip situation. this is a big no-no obviously, because they don't want the customers to know that the gratuity they are paying does not go to their waiters. but he kind of asked about it, so i told him. so he gave me an extra 100 dollar tip, which i should definitely be getting come friday. if not, fists will be flying.
i need that hundred bucks. it will almost pay for the boot i got on my car on monday.
