Secret Santa Post
So I signed up for teffy's "Annual Dabble a Drabble Secret Santa Project." Why, I don't know, but I did. I write bazillion drabbles for someone annonymously, and some random person writes little ficlets for me. THIS POST IS FOR YOU, RANDOM PERSON. Hee. ^_^
“I know, I know,” House muttered into her hair, combing his fingers through her rich, auburn locks.
“It’s not fair,” she sighed, lifting up her hand to brush the tears from her cheek. House propped his cane against a chair and brought his hand up to cup her cheek, raising her face so he could look at her. He looked down at her sad face, and his eyes softened. Seeing her like this was like skipping out on Vicodin for a week. Worse.
Cameron gave a few quiet sobs and seemed to calm down, staring into House’s electrifying blue eyes. She felt safe in his arms, and that made her feel a bit better. And then, without notice, and the way she liked it best, House leaned down and pressed his lips against hers. The passion was unmistakable, and she let out a soft gasp, lost in the overwhelming fervor that surged throughout her body whenever he kissed her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him back like her life depended on it, because it did. He was her life. And although she rarely admitted it, no matter how much Chase and Foreman would tease her about it if she ever did mention it, it was true.
House pulled away softly and smiled down at Cameron, who smiled shyly back up at him. He mirrored the grin when Cameron broke out into one.
“Feel better?” he teased.
“Mhmm,” she muttered. She lowered her arms and wrapped them around his waist, holding onto him for just a little while longer. House wrapped his arms around her, too, resting his head on the top of hers, and the dim glow from the streetlight played across the small smile on his face as he closed his eyes with content.
