Every year since I was perhaps twelve, my grandparents have been handing out money on Christmas so my brother and I can purchase things we'll enjoy. I wonder if they'll believe that I spent thirty bucks on soap...

Anyway, Asha posted her list o' loot, so I figured I'd do the same.

- a "Day Light"; it emits light similar to sunlight, and for someone who gets grumpy at the lack of natural light during the winter, it's a wonderful thing!
- a sewing kit; everything in it, including the startlingly cute box itself, was hand-picked by my mom.
- $100; fifty from each set of grandparents. (Thirty was spent on soap. Forty was spent on movies.)
- a "coupon" for my awesome boots when they get here in the mail

Stocking:
- socks
- underoos
- gratuitous amounts of chocolate (Reese's, mint chocolate stuff, and a Kinder Egg)
- toothbrush
- a giant slab of chocolate-covered marzipan
- two cat toys for Daja
- a scrub brush and a dryer bag (not-quite-gag gifts from Mom)

All in all, a great holiday. My brother got a video camera, which will be fun. It's the first new one we've had in the family for nigh on sixteen years. :P
