I discovered today that when I go to bed on a Friday evening before 9pm, I wake up before 6am happy as a clam. Because of this new-found realization, I was able to read 'stupid girl magazines' (Glamour, for instance), over coffee, in bed, without the least bit of guilt. Surprisingly enough, I found that I do agree with most of 'life & happiness'... for instance:
Hey, it's ok...
1. to start your day with a carb, or 50.
2. to get your news from Jon Stewart.
3. to buy cheap cat food and expensive toothpaste.
4. to gawk unashamedly at celebrities, random hot men and public displays of affection.
5. to think there should be term limits on bosses.
6. to get all fancied up just for your girlfriends.
7. if you have caller ID just to screen your family.
8. to fall asleep at the movies. How often do you get to sit in a dark room with the phone turned off for 2 hours?
9. to believe the studies that say red wine is a good for you, but not the ones that tell you to avoid french fries, loud music and high heals.
And, while I realize this discovery is not earth-shattering or introspective, it does mean that when I'm fully rested, I do posses the ability to be agreeable.
