The Olympics have been keeping me occupied recently. I haven't worked a full day since last Wednesday (did a half day last Thursday), so I've been able to stay pretty focused on the Olympics. Of course, this means I make less money. Which is never a good thing. But, I cannot control that right now, unfortunately. I'm working tomorrow, so at least I will have made a bit of money this week. It's a really good thing that my hubby has a decent job that pays fairly well, so we don't really feel the pinch of my not working. We would just be doing so much better if I had a full time job right now. Calvin doesn't pay taxes throughout the year, so tax season is coming up and he owes a LOT of money to the government (money we probably should have been saving up all year, but we didn't, so now we pay the price). We've also got RRSPs to buy and even the money for THAT has been a bit tough to scrounge up. And now we want to build a house this summer. It all seems so impossible when I am not working day in and day out. I try really, really hard not to let it stress me out, since I have so little control, but it is often difficult. So, I help out by buying cheap groceries, not buying useless things, like clothes, movies, etc. It doesn't seem like enough, but what more can I do (aside from getting a job at Tim Horton's or something)?
