well....transcendentalism...is interesting....morally they are all reaching for the same goals as Christianity...i mean.....like the Ten Commandments...but the way they approach it is different. instead of opening up your heart to Jesus, and asking Him for guidance...they search for the answers within their heart...they believe that we are "hardwired" to know the difference between right and wrong....unlike Christianity...and believe that everyone is ultimately good...unlike Christianity....and that we are born with the intelligence and common sense to help us survive in this world. they are also encompassed by nature, and believe that to be in the true sense of yourself...kind of like Maslow's self-acualization....to find yourself...that you have to separate yourself from the world and take in nature...kind of like natural law....and that everything we witness in life we can relate back to nature.

its quite an interesting concept...i could go on for hours....but i hope that clears some things up for you...unless it just totally confuzzled you!

i see. its beautiful, the way emerson writes about nature. but its sad how close [yet so far] some are from the truth of God. hmm.

it's like they are aiming, they just [ miss the mark ].

thank you for the insight :)
