I will reserve judgment. Like if I'd read the script without seeing the show I might have been like this shit is bananas and not watched. I don't know. Plus more women could be good. YAY WIMMINS.
But if done well she won't be a Mary Sue. I mean Steve would be a total Gary Stu if he weren't such a dumbass control freak with the emotional capacity of a rock and yet the ability to love Danny passionately.
Steve's pretty flawed, but I LOVE your description of his emotional capacity and loving Danny.
But seeing a mirror of him in a woman screams Mary Sue to me, and maybe she won't be that way, those are just casting sides, they could change before filming. A woman whose shoehorned into the team who thinks like Steve, acts like Steve, is gorgeous and shows it off like Steve... yeah.
If not done right, this will irk the shit out of me.
Maybe it will be though, *crosses fingers and goes back to her Zen place where Steve LOVES Danny with all of his heart and wants to spend the rest of his life with him.*

HA!You know, I've only read one threesome fic that was incredible and it surprised me b/c threesomes don't usually do it for me. I guess it has to really bring out that Steve is totally fucking gone for Danny, which this one did.
I've been working on a series in which Danny and Steve are in an established relationship and bring in Cath as a third, but they have feelings for her too. They are my OT3. I've read two other Cath/Danny/Steve stories and they were both excellent. But I think that's all there is out there for that threesome.
