Six Apart VP anildash posted an apology and clarification of terms that should have been in that lj_biz post.

So I am cautiously optimistic for now. *waits to see what else happens*

Of course I am not very happy that cluegirl and vikingcarrot received warnings for fan art today.

I've been reading the posts in your journal and I've been watching Anil's pussy-footing with interest. It seems a lot of people are pinning their hopes for a sensible response from LJ on him, which I think may be a big mistake.

I hate to be a wet blanket about this but consider, why is Anil apologyzing for Rachel? Ya' see, he may be a VP, but he is not her VP (seeing as he works on an entirely other project). This means that he is interfering with some other VP's responsibilities, which is a very bad move in the business world, very unprofessional.

All things considered, unless and until Rachel or someone in her direct management hierarchy speaks up to address the issues that were raised by Rachel's behaviour, I would not put too much faith in having the fandom!=paedophiles issue resolved any time soon or to the satisfaction of LJ customers.

Yeah, am not holding my breath. I guess I should explain what cautiously optimistic means for someone as cynical and cranky as I am - not much.

I think as VP for Six Apart he is in her hierarchy - but who knows. Their organization is bit confusing at best.
