All right, so I was hoping to have everything for the mixup finished before June, but that didn't happen. So, this is what's happening now. I am doing campnano. I'm in a cabin and everything, though I'm not sure how that's going to work out. When I did camp last year, it was still in it's beta stage, so I'm new to this. I also signed up for
novel_bigbang. Rough drafts are due June 30.
Now, I'm technically a camp rebel because I'm finishing blood is thicker. which I wrote for last year's camp. I got 36k before I burned out and started writing whatever. I reread what I had written a few days ago and I really want to edit it, because it's not bad. I decided to use the first few days of camp to finish it and to use
novel_bigbang as motivation to edit it into something readable. Even though it's practically complete, it needs a lot of work, so I don't feel like it's a cop out for
novel_bigbang. Rules say WIP are okay and there's no stipulation on how much needs to be new material.
After, I finish blood is thicker. I will work on the sequel tentatively titled bound by blood. If I can get 35k of that like I did last year, that would be wonderful. Then in July, I'll work on edits for blood is thicker. I'll probably have to completely write a second draft (my first second draft :o!) because anyone who has done a nano knows that 50k in 30 days is a pretty good guarantee of writing crap, but I'm excited.
Day 01: 2.6k
