Day 06: 8k
Day 4 I went home and Day 5 was when mix claims for
bigbang_mixup opened and I helped man the station, but I plan on catching up tomorrow at the local write-in. Anyway, I claimed my mix and I'm really excited to start. So excited I might have ditched Chronicle for the time being in order to work on my claim for nano. I don't know if it'll be 50k, but if I finish it before November is through I'll pick Chronicle back up. There were three arcs for my claim Supernatural, Historical, and Ordinary. I'm only working on the first one and the jury's still out on whether I'll move on to the second or pick up Chronicle when I finish. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
The synopsis I have on nanowrimo is...
Tick. Tick. Tick. Crow finds himself stuck on a ghost train headed north of nowhere and looking for the man who runs the train. He finds a variety of characters, none of which happen to be a ghost or runs the train.
Can you see why this is exciting. I never would have come up with that story idea (or the variety of characters that Crow meets or even Crow's name) without my mixer. I'm sure I'm a little bias, but I really do think you should check out some of the mixes we have and consider claiming one. Especially if you're having trouble coming up with a nano idea. It's only six days into November.
EDIT, so I don't sound like an unhappy mod. I love the

The
bigbang_mixup challenge is a bigbang challenge that closely resembles a reverse bang. It mixes up the order of the challenge-first, a fanmix is created. This fanmix tells the story. It will then be claimed by an author who will write a piece of fiction (that tells the story they read the fanmix to have), which an artist will then claim (this is pretty straightforward--the artist creates art based on the story). Author signs up close on November 10. There are still plenty of mixes to claim!
