being biased towards all things Doctor/Rose, i may not be the best judge here, but i think this is gorgeous. i love how you've written Rose; i'm a firm believer that she wouldn't stop having adventures just because she was limited to Earth, and a parallel one at that. also, you've done the reunion itself in such a way that i can hear and picture it perfectly!

Well, I loved it :) It's a very different perspective on Rose in the parallel universe: not moping around believing that her life is over (which I hate), and not alien-hunting either, but discovering. And that's far more a legacy of her life with the Doctor than tracking down aliens is. Wonderful. You write such a mature, independent, well-adjusted Rose, yet still in character from the series: still with the compassion and interest in people that makes her Rose.

I love the reunion - beautiful scene, that - and the glimpses of their life after; but this is actually one of those few post-Doomsday stories that, had you not written a reunion, would have been a fantastic tribute to Rose: she grew up and became everything the Doctor wanted her to be. Lovely work!

I did actually give some thought as to not making this a reunion fic, for fear that it might diminish the effects of everything Rose has learnt. In the end, obviously, my shipper side won out, but I really do hope that the story conveys the idea that she's grown up and is an explorer entirely independent of the Doctor.

Thanks very much for the comment! I'm a big fan of your work, so cheers! :)

Oh, don't get me wrong; I'm delighted that you made it a reunion fic :) Believe me, I'm a huge Doctor/Rose shipper, and in my fantasy universe they're still together ;) What I meant is that before the reunion you showed us how much she's grown and developed and become so much her own person. I think that now she's much better-placed to build a relationship with the Doctor on her terms as much as his, rather than just having to accept whatever he's willing to offer her - because that's usually how it is with him: you do it my way or not at all. When she was 19, 20, she accepted that because she didn't really have the experience or maturity to see that. Now, she does, and I love that aspect of your fic :)

And thank you :)))

I've been wanting to visit these places since I was kneehigh to a grasshopper!

I'm glad you liked the reunion; I didn't want it to be too sappy or anything, so cheers!:)

Oh, that's lovely. Really, it is. And being an Egyptophile (which may not have been a word, but it is now) I adored that bit like whoa. Wonderful work! ♥

Creating words is fun!! I have rather an obsession with Egypt, so I couldn't help but put it in.

I'm glad you liked it!:)
