I don’t even know how I came across live journal. I fell in love with it instantly, writing long posts about my day with enough details to make one think I was writing a novel. It was a writer’s dream come true. There was plenty of room to rite, and a captive audience. Over time my friends list grew. I introduced others to the site. It became

I liked Facebook until my sis-in-law got upset about me and brought up many, many things I have put on Facebook (that had nothing to do with her in any way) and made a lot of unkind judgements about me. I try to post very little to Facebook now. If someone could take things like (like links to news stories) and come up with those conclusions, I'm not sure I want to share my life much on there anymore. (I now blocked her as I don't feel comfortable with her seeing anything I might say.)
I'm glad that though you use twitter that you still use LJ. I like how LJ doesn't limit length of entries.

I can see where facebook could be a problem. I put little of interest on there because my family reads. I haven't mastered how to say much and be vague. When people ask questions on there I often don't answer because I don't want to get into details. Not like on LJ where I pretty much spill my guts.
I have a program designed for blind people which makes twitter easy to access without having to go to the site. Without that program I probably wouldn't use twitter at all.
I was really stuck on this topic. When I saw your entry where you used a place I almost wanted to rewrite this, but I hate it when people do that.

I only read and post there occasionally. It's interesting the way robots use it, though. One time I posted that I was researching city council candidates, and one of the city council candidates started following me (although I have no idea if he actually reads) and was trying to get me to support him. Another time I tweeted that I felt like I was coworking because I was sitting at a coffee shop right near a couple of other people who were obviously software developers, and then I was "followed" by an account associated with a coworking facility in L.A.
Hmm. If I'm following you and you're following me, does that mean that we're destined to collide?

Facebook... I deleted my account recently. There are about three people on there whom I actually like (apart from some of my family) and I just can't be bothered with it anymore.
