For purely, uh, pure reasons Peter had not slept in the room last night. But he did live there so he did show up.

"I knew there was a reason I hated prom." Well, this sort of thing did tend to go and happen every year, it was a pattern that so far, she wasn't a fan of.

"... I don't think so," Mac said slowly, looking down at the new child-limpet attached to her leg. "I'm still working on parentage here."

Since she wasn't paying attention to him anymore, Miles had taken to rifling through her desk drawers instead.

There was a little crash, and a quiet 'oops', from behind her and Mac winced.

Mac looked over her shoulder to see a sheepish look from Miles and a spare motherboard and a couple of books on the floor that hadn't been there before.

"Can you heal electronic things?" she asked hopefully.

Mac sighed, then looked back round at Miles again. "Do I let you near computers at home?"

"No..." he replied, somewhat grudgingly.

"I'm Miles," he said. "Are you one of my mom's friends?"
