Mac was up unusually early, for her. Probably just due to the fact she now had a roommate. That was going to take some getting used to again, especially after a couple of months back home.

She had, presumably with Peter's help, moved most things across last night. And as soon as it reached an hour she deemed it not antisocial to be pottering

Peter had gone into town and returned with donuts and coffee. "Hey."

Mac stopped arranging books to glance over her shoulder at Peter. "Oh, I like this already," she said, grinning at him. "My last official roomie never supplied coffee and food."

"It gets better," Peter said. He held up one of the coffee cups. "Soy milk."

"Okay, you're officially winning roomie of the year polls," she decided.
