obligatory lj update
So far I've been checking craigslist and applying to two or three jobs per day. There are a couple that seem pretty good, and I'm positive if I keep this up, I'll get contacted for an interview for at least one of them. Which is good, because Peet's is not the best job I've ever had for all the stress it carries with it.
The jobs I'm kind kind of excited about are:
SAT tutoring. It pays a whole lot, and it's one-on-one, which is frankly a walk in the park, and probably really enjoyable to boot.
ESL teaching for adults. I'm so so qualified for it!
Is it weird that I really want the opportunity to wear all those professional clothes I'd been complaining about having to wear every day before? XD
Aha....
In other news, our lease runs out in October, and that means we all have to find housing. We're not down to the wire yet, but it's definitely something to think about. There are some doors that are open, but barely, and some doors I was kind of counting on that are closed shut.
So...there's that. I want to get a nice job that pays lots so I don't have to be worried about moving.
Yesterday, I hung out with high school friends. It was pretty nice! I was exhausted and trying my best not to be all awkward, but it went really smoothly.
Things I have to do today: Write a cover letter for that ESL adult job! As fast as possible! Come on, do it!
Go to mom's house and help out.
Go to a dress rehearsal for Our Miss Gibbs.
Things I look forward to this week: My Japanese ps2 might get delivered soon! OMG CAN'T WAIT~~
