if not better

What the hell makes an angel
Just another thing, with a set of wings
There is nothing looking over our heads
There is nothing looking under our beds
-And the monsters come out Late at night
Nothing holding skeletons back, from creeping out the closet

One night I met an angel
I said she wasn’t special, then I fell to hell
She brought me up in a single glance
She gave me hope and a second chance

I saw her flying, and I took it as a dream
And that’s the way, the two years seemed

-

Now there are demons lurking all around
Cutting corners and coursing the ground
Every step that’s behind me was breaking
The surface cracked and I started shaking

I cannot go against, what I heard through the fence
But something holds me back.
Memories will prevent,
any and everything That they can.

I’ll admit that it wasn’t always right
And I was keeping secrets, in my dreams last night

-

I can take the good, along with the bad
She really was the best thing that I had
That’s the bad, and I got what I should
But I'll find another angel who's just as good
