I'm on fire

May 11, 2008 19:28

Seventeen official school days left.

Two more AP exams and an SOL until the bulk of my work this year is done.

It's weird how some parts of this year flew by and others dragged on, you know?

My sister has decided that since she is dating a skateboarder and our step sister is dating a snowboarder, I am inevitably going to hook up with a surfer.

Funny. I'm not sure how to break the news to her that the thought of dating someone right now turns my stomach. Besides, how many surfers can you find in the mountains of central Virginia away from the beach?

The more I hear about people dating and the plethora of problems that arise, the more I want to run around in my backyard screaming for a few hours. Why do we put ourselves through this crap?

Of course, I say this now, but goodness knows what my outlook will be in a few months.

Mum's birthday is Tuesday.

Chris's birthday is Friday, and that party thing is Saturday.

I see very little structure to this entry, very little indeed...

I need to stop reading romance novels. They put me in a bad mood.

My room is getting into worse and worse shape. Maybe if I'm stuck at home this weekend instead of being able to go to my dad's, I'll clean it.

I've had "Good Day" by the Dresden Dolls and "1, 2, 3, 4" by Feist on repeat all day.

I need out of the house and school.

I'm in the mood to cry over something, but I'm not sure what. It's just one of those moods.

I need a shower.

I need sleep.

I need fun.

If my ovaries' cycle gets screwed up again, I'm going to scream.

I don't trust birth control. Sure, I could have condom-less sex, but the chance of me getting any sex at all is slim to none at the moment. Plus, if you're on the stuff for too long, it can screw up your chances to have kids in the future.

And sure, I may say that I don't want any now, but who knows what I'll think in ten years?

Then again, this is all rambling from an almost seventeen-year-old who really doesn't know much in the grand scheme of things besides some snippets of AP history and more Harry Potter trivia than any sane person ought to.

But hey, that knowledge came in handy that one day when that one kid came into Trank's asking what Harry's owl, Ron's owl, and Ron's old owl's names were, and I fired off "Hedwig, Pigwidgeon, and Errol" with little thought.

=)

rant, birthday, sols, ap, anne, bad day
