(no subject)
Well, yesterday I had my first official day on the phones selling VISAs. I tell ya, you sure call some strange people. One guy in BC was the greatest cowboy-sounding guy I've ever heard. I called a guy on his birthday - his son picks up the phone, little guy probably no more than 10, in the background I hear "If it's for me, tell them I'm not home!" from the dad. So the kid says "I'm supposed to tell you he's not home" I started laughing...Dad ends up coming to the phone and I sold him a card :)
In all I had 7 sales, which is great considering I only really worked half the shift! Some people are lucky to get 6 sales in an entire shift. I'm going to be good at this.
Oh - to my sisters, you know Mark Bezzina, of course, well I got an email from him, he's travelling by himself in Australia right now! Sounds like he's having a great time. I'm jealous.
