So I started my new job at TD Canada Trust on Monday. I think I'm going to like it, even though I'm calling outbound. The people I work with are all nice and interesting, and once we got by the boring paperwork, what we're learning is interesting. We have access to over 13million customer accounts! So if you have a TD account, I can look you up, and all your details...but of course I won't do that. I guess that's abuse of power. Our instructor/facilitator/whoever is really nice, he once played pro hockey in Sweden. Cool. The call center 'floor' itself is wild, huge bunches of wire cables running overhead etc. Yesterday we sat in on some calls, and I'm pretty sure I'll be better than the guy I was sitting in with who's been working there 5 months. Not to blow my own horn, but yeah. I'm confident :D
I have my own fancy headset now, and access card, the works. Yeehaw. By next week I'll be making calls, bugging you at dinnertime, asking you how we can better meet your banking needs...and then offering you a VISA card. For our sake, TAKE IT! And once you get it, you can cut it up. Perfect!
