http://im-tape.livejournal.com/2452.html#cutid1 They have had this discussion more times than Lea could count, and truth be told she’s getting just a bit frustrated with her girlfriend. She’s not sure what the blonde star was so afraid of. It wasn’t like Ryan was going to fire them for being in a romantic relationship with a costar, just look at Naya and Heather. While they haven’t outright said that they were together, it was clear with the way they acted and where hardly ever not together that they were indeed a couple.
So if it wasn’t for that then what else could be troubling the actress enough to not want to come out to their “family?” Maybe it was the fear that not everyone would accept them. But then again that can’t be true. Chris is gay himself, Amber’s one of his close friends so she wouldn’t have a problem with it, Cory was the one that helped them get together so he’s cool, Kevin and Jenna both support gays rights so it’s obvious they’re ok with it, and as for Mike, Matt, and Dijon….well they’re guys, and as guys they think any two girls that make out are hot.
After scratching both of those options of the list Lea came to the next conclusion that maybe Dianna was afraid of what their fans might think of them. Would they lose them and gain enemies? Would they get fruit thrown at them when they go to premieres? But then she thinks of all the fans that already think they’re going together, so that can’t be right either.
Of course she would’ve been afraid of it getting back to her parents, but they already know, and were kind enough to point out that they knew all along. Her alter ego growing up was Charlie after all.
Lea’s given this much thought, she really has….she just can’t think of a logical reason as to why Dianna would be afraid to tell the cast that they’re together. She honestly cannot think of one reason.
“I’m just afraid.” The blonde had quietly said after much hounding from the short brunette.
“Di there’s nothing to be afraid of. Everyone will love you no matter what, the fans…the fans think we’re together already, and your parents support you one hundred percent.” Dianna gave a near silent sigh before moving closer to nuzzle her nose into the brunette’s warm tan cheek.
“I know….I know….we can tell Nay and Hemo tomorrow.” Lea gave a small squeal and before Dianna knew it she was laying on her back with her girlfriend on top of her trailing kisses up her neck and along her jaw.
Even after the reminder that she had very many people behind her supporting her with all of their being, Dianna was still kind of scared. She’s not sure why, really she’s not. She knows Naya and Heather won’t freak and disown her or whatever. She knows Ryan won’t fire neither her nor Lea because they decided to have a romantic relationship. So why is she so scared? Hell if she knows. All she does know is that she has Lea next to her, by her side all the way.
“Just relax Di everything’s going to be ok.” The smile that was flashed in the actress’ direction was forced and she knew that, but decided to just let it be and instead gave the pale hand she was holding a reassuring squeeze.
The walk from their trailer all the way across the lot to Naya and Heather’s never seemed longer to Dianna. It seemed as if each step they took was never enough to make any progress in coming any closer to their trailer. And while she knew that they were indeed making progress and were in fact very close to reaching their trailer’s door, in her mind it seemed so much farther away.
“Deep breath Di, deep breath.” Dianna breathed in a long deep breath before pushing it out through rounded lips. Then before she knew it Lea was knocking on the white door and Heather was in its doorway ushering them in.
“Hey what’s up?” Seeing the calm and obvious affection the couple in front of them were showing seemed to calm Dianna down some, or just enough to stop giving Lea’s hand a tiring grip.
“There’s something that we thought you should be aware of.” Lea chanced a look over at her girlfriend, and upon seeing the near wide eyed blank look she was wearing, she concluded that she’d be doing most of the talking.
“Oh really and what is that?” Heather could see the fear in the shorter blonde’s eyes, plus the shear grip that she was giving Lea’s hand, didn’t take a genius to figure out that either they were sitting them down for the pregnancy talk, or they were coming out. And now judging by Naya’s playful tone she too knew what they were sitting them down to talk about.
“Well there’s something that’s happened over the past few months and well-“
“LeaandIareacouple.” It came out so fast from her mouth that even Lea had to stop and do a double take on her to become aware of what she had said. Although both Naya and Heather seemed to find this funny because they immediately started laughing.
“What’s so funny?” Even through their laughs Naya somehow managed to catch enough breath to say,
“We know Di.” Which only further to confuse not only the blonde, but Lea as well.
“What do you mean you already knew?” Heather raised a finger to her eye and wiped away one of the tears that had managed to form with all the laughing.
“What Naya means is that we knew all along. Everyone did actually.” Dianna and Lea shared a similar look of disbelief, one that made both Naya and Heather start laughing again.
“You two aren’t as subtle as you think you are. With all the eye sex, and across the room flirting I’m surprised you haven’t come out and said anything sooner.” Lea just shook her head, her inner child wanting to point a finger at the girl sitting next to her while saying “I wanted to, but she wouldn’t let me.”
“Ok then it was great talking to you and we should be on our way.”
“Yeah on your way to put in a quickie before we start.” Lea flashed Naya the finger before closing the trailer door behind her.
“They knew?” Came Dianna’s small, almost child-like voice, full of disbelief.
“Yes Di they knew….everyone knows.”
