It's a little hectic
I am so sorry, the internet and lj readers everywhere, I have neglected you. I've been chaotically busy, that's for sure. I've definitely had some crazy times amongst all of it.
Here are a few things you should know to summarize the past 5 days:
- I think I might be allergic to fleas *especially when they bite you
- CMJ Music Marathon was not all it was talked up to be this year, and that was a shame
- I run into people I know everywhere (even the L-train at 2am on a Wednesday night/Thursday morning, like how I ran into John Hembree, that was nuts!)
- the people who work at CBGBs are very interesting characters
- I love eating meals where forks, knives and spoons are not involved (minus spoons for soup or serving, of course)
- American food is overated
- Did I ever tell you just how much I like tea?
- I've become addicted to Lindt chocolate. This could become a problem in that whole "staying healthy and fit looking" thing I'm trying to do while I'm up here. Hmph.
- I love cuddling (but I'm sure you didn't know that already, oh wait)
- the internet in The New Yorker Hotel sucks
- I was informed that before I go out at night in NYC I take what is called by most a :
disco nap n.: a nap at an unusual night hour in order to prepare to be out later than 3am. Isn't that funny?
- Based upon the above note, I've taken A LOT of disco naps the past 5 days
- Jose, Scott and Luisa are my new favorite people in NYC
- Brandon Eaves is coming to visit me next weekend!!!!
- I really don't like being poor in this city
BUT...
- Nothing has shaken my love for being in this city yet. I doubt anything will.
- Zomba/BMG Publishing owns a lot more stuff I like than I expected. They also own a lot more stuff I hate than I expected, too. Haha
- DON'T ITCH BUG BITES. It only makes it worse. Ugh.
- MySpace has started to majorly suck since they sold it off to that one guy (don't remember his name, someone help me out here). Just goes to show you that the second you hand something off to something major they eff up the fantastical community value of whatever it is. grrrr
- I really like curry... a lot.
- I think me and my roomie are finally at the buddy/roomie phase. You know, where you like check up on each other and there's not that "we're not friends we're just roomates" feeling going on. True.
- I really gotta go get my clothes from Howard's sister like... today.
- I absolutely love having my sidekickII. It's been such a lifesaver.
- I really have this urge to go dancing. Like, really bad.
- I'd really like the new Ours record to come out
- Heck, I'd really like money for the records that have already come out. Bleh.
