Character:Quinn A. Sullivan
Abilities:Quinn has a strong interest in medicine and chemistry, having the hobby of blending her own hair products and other cosmetics as well as learning of medicinal herbs. She's just a normal human girl so she doesn't have any special powers other than her athleticism and interest in healing others. She can clean, bandage and stitch wounds and enjoys learning from others more knowledgeable than her. She's surprisingly picked up a lot of knowledge on her journey and strives to learn more everyday. Feeling a little 'useless' amongst the others, she's determined to pull her own weight and make sure the other three get the treatment needed and stay as healthy as she can make them. She's willing to sacrifice her own health in order to achieve this.
Requiring a way to protect herself in a strange place, Quinn has a pair of daggers that she's been training with and her aim has quickly become quite true. When she isn't at 'home' they are always with her.
Flaws/weaknesses:Quinn tends to have a 'one strike and you're out' policy concerning aspects of her life and has massive trust issues. If feeling betrayed or lied to, she can't easily forgive them, holding onto the pain and embarrassment she feels as a lifeline. She's willing to use others for her own needs in holding onto this anger and without care of their others feelings in return. She's very stubborn, refusing to listen when people fight with her almost to a point of disrespect. She hates to be told that she's wrong, and never admits to it even when proven that she is.
Being nothing more than your typical human, she feels she isn't as strong or talented as her companions and since she's such a perfectionist she tends to rely on her intelligence to make up for her lack of natural talents.
History/background: Part One-Home When Quinn was five or six, her father was responsible for taking care of her and her brother several times a week when she got home from school. She always enjoyed the time with her father, but there was a time period when her father had another woman with him when her mother wasn't around. Not understanding what had been going on, Quinn asked her mother about the woman-which is what started all her parents arguing and eventually their divorce.
Quinn's relationship with her father has only recently undergone some changes as she got older, mostly having to do with her stepmother and half sister's entrance into their family. She really likes her stepmother and has since growing older has learned exactly what had happened between her parents to cause their divorce. She's expressed her feelings to her father, that she hopes he can treat her stepmother better than her mother. He's apologized to her, but that part of Quinn still remains that blames herself for all the pain her mother went through because of her father.
Her mother hasn't ever remarried, nor does she even ever really date, which to Quinn, just shows how painful everything was for her mother. Quinn…is very afraid to fall in love or to trust someone so completely that her heart could ever risk getting hurt like her mother's. Even so…it's something she really wants at the same time. Someone to love her completely, that won't ever hurt her like that.
History/background: Part Two -CaisleainLike Alice falling through the looking glass, Quinn and her friend Cailyn have uncovered another dimension by way of falling through a mirror. A world only accessible by way of the bracelets they purchased from a jewelry gumball machine at a local Pizza joint. Unknown to them, they were placed there specifically for them by a fairy from the other world to give them access to Caisleain. Changing from the cheap tin and strangely broken accessories into a higher quality when placed on the proper recipient, the bracelet can only be removed by cutting it off, which is still difficult to do with the proper materials.
Caisleain is a world of great beauty but on the brink of war in a struggle for power. The appearance of the two girls triggers a known prophecy concerning the eventual upset of that power to the rightful heirs of the empire--the heirs aren't much of a secret as they were given a bracelet of prophecy at birth identical to each of the girls. Staying alive is hard enough for them from the outside sources wanting to destroy the future prophecy from being fulfilled, yet stopping the two heirs from killing each other might be even harder...
During her time in Caisleain, Quinn quickly found herself with a secret admirer that strangely only appeared when she was alone. Dropping from rooftops, leaving her gifts and stealing kisses from her when she least expected it both annoyed and intrigued her. As obnoxious as he was, Quinn really began to enjoy and look forward to his periodic surprise appearances in her life...often feeling alone and like an outcast as her companions were obviously in the middle of a love triangle, even if two of the members didn't realize it.
Though Ruari came across as quite the stalker, Quinn liked having something entirely to herself. A secret from her companions, someone who beneath all of the teasing and flirting seemed to really have gotten to know her and enjoyed spending time with her. Someone who she'd really found herself looking forward to seeing again whenever they parted.
When Quinn's 'secret' is discovered, all hell breaks loose as the true identity of Ruari is uncovered.
Quinn doesn't take well to being betrayed or lied to though...and playing with her heart is the worst offense of all. It's obvious he was using her from the very beginning and forgiveness is not a word in Quinn's vocabulary. What really is to forgive though? She's not stupid enough to fall in love with the enemy.
Personality:
Quinn is quite the perfectionist, taking school very seriously. She doesn't like having to miss tests or not having time to study. She's fairly quick-tempered, not having much patience for people that she thinks should 'know better'. She's not afraid to speak her mind about issues and likes to be the center of attention. Doesn't like feeling 'left out', but will tend to seek time alone when she's needing it.
She's very stubborn, refusing to listen when people fight with her. She hates to be told that she's wrong, and never admits when she is wrong even when proven that she is. Her fits of temper can also get her into binds and apologizing isn't something she finds easy to do.
She's very into her looks, isn't afraid to get dirty but will complain until she can take a bath. She loves make-up and carries hers with her wherever she goes as well as often creates her own. She refuses to do anything or go anywhere without being completely 'ready' for the day-meaning she needs a bath or shower and fully in make up.
She's recently started the habit of constantly having a new boyfriend, going through them faster than she can remember. There are times that she doesn't remember their names-much to her embarrassment. This is primarily a defense mechanism as she doesn't really care about them as much as making herself unavailable. Her moral system is such that she thinks that she can't care for someone else if she's in another relationship. She gets out when they begin to get attached to her, moving on to the next relationship.
Quinn is very loyal, caring, and helpful to those she does care about. She isn't afraid to stand up for herself and others. She can be very kind, wanting to help those that are sick or injured-even if others don't have the time to stop. She finds it hard to detach her emotions from the job and often gets in situations where it takes her awhile to get over not being able to help them the way she'd like to. She often wishes there was more she could do for them and continually works to widen her knowledge of medicine.

Other than her strange otherworldly adventures, Quinn is a typical teenage girl from Minnesota. She loves books, tv, shopping, clothing, and other typical teenage things. She's probably familiar with a large portion of inhabitants within the city, especially if they are from television or books that she'd enjoy. Though she'd hate to admit it, she loves things ranging from Jane Austen novels to Shojou manga and romantic comedies.
Her life is anything but normal though, this will not take much adjusting for her to get used to living in Poly.
Physical description: Quinn
Skinny yet has a little muscle on her due to all of the exercise she does. Legs are long and slim, adding to her five foot seven frame. Her eyes are a sea green shade. Quinn takes special care of her long blonde hair, creating different remedies for it's care.
Her teeth are very straight and she's proud of them, her father is a dentist and she's more than proud to say-she's never had a tooth pulled. She's almost OCD about brushing her teeth-and forcing everyone else to too.
Overall, she's a very beautiful teenage girl that has the potential to have guys dropping at her feet.
