Claire? That matter we discussed it going to be put on hold, I fear. There's been a sudden change of plans.

Ada, I know with everything that's happening, it might alter your previous decision, though I hope it doesn't.

Matt, Dean, have either of you seen my shoes?

[This is the 'I am not amused' voice.]

I take it this is a common occurrence here.

Un-Unfortunately, sir. The gods have a funny sense of humor.

[The sarcasm is a little thick.]

Ah, good. Then perhaps we will get along.

[Voice] - That might be an even scarier thought! im_not_a_rookie August 25 2009, 22:03:37 UTC
One can only hope, sir.

Might I have a word on our current state?

Let me see, my calendar is rather full...

[He drops the sarcasm, switching out the personality for professionalism.]

Yes, Elena, you may. In fact, you've got my undivided attention.

...You frighten me at times, sir.

PrivateWhen you were gone and it was simply myself and Valeria, we had agreed to contract ourselves out to the Task Force along with one Miss Ada Wong, a very talented woman. The intent was to have their backing and consent while maintaining the ability to build files on residents and events freely and without questions ( ... )

Occasionally, I frighten myself.

Though I suspect it will cause some confusion, I can't pretend to know what my predecessor was doing. Nor do I wish to blindly build on what he put in place. However, I'm not opposed to bringing a form of energy to this city. I've only been here a short time and already I miss the conveniences of home.Power generated by the elements would not only be cheap to process, but easy to collect as well. Far more so than attempting something as complicated as mako refinement. Make your proposal. It's a good idea, and if a suitable site can be found, I see no reason not to proceed ( ... )

Sir, I had only wanted to contract ourselves out until you possibly returned. Our first and foremost loyalty is to you, of course, and no decisions I made before you were here could possibly trump that. My -- The Turks -- place is at your side, as always.

I'm not questioning your loyalty, Elena. You've proven that time and again since you joined the Turks. In the absence of what we're accustomed to doing, life carries on. At least, that's the lesson I'm assuming the planet keeps trying to teach us. Otherwise the monthly meltdown it goes through serves no purpose.

In your opinion, would a partnership with the Task Force in such a capacity be beneficial to us?
