Some time ago, it became clear to me that there are a shocking number of people on this island who lack the ability to read and write properly. Ignoring for a moment the fact that the native language of this place is English anyway, this is nevertheless indicative of a broader lack of culturedness plaguing the community!
As a reaction to this problem, I intend to begin holding reading/writing classes outside of normal school hours. If you are unsure of whether or not you should attend, look at the following:
