Uberhood Week One; Cordial
I've decided to post short lj summary posts of my uberhood (and possibly other challenges in the future) which I've been posting pictures of at tumblr. I wasn't going to do this at first, because tumblr seems to really suit my playing style. As I play quite (read: very) slowly, I like that I can just post one picture or one photoset at a time. It means I can be more active than if I was just posting a post at lj. And then when I end up taking/editing lots of pictures at once, I can just drop them in the queue so I don't spam everyone all at once. It also makes me look more active than I actually am ;). With chrono tags and pages, you can keep everything reasonable organised anyway, but I don't want to abandon lj all together and as I know there are people who prefer it here, so I've decided to make these short summary posts of what's happened. They'll be brief and won't include all the pictures I've posted on tumblr along the way, but I think they're a nice way to round off an update/week with a few of my favourite pictures and it might be easier for some people to catch up if they don't like browsing through tumblr chrono tags.
I hope this doesn't bother those of you who are following both here and on tumblr, and might be seeing this stuff twice! I guess you can just ignore these posts though. But you do get a few bonus pictures that I haven't posted before! Anyway, on with the summary!
Samantha helped me remember how much I love the stupid expressions some sims have. She's very good at them!
Kimberly is definitely more subdued and sensible than Samantha...
...who is more likely to start random games in the street with townies...
...and start playing with leaf piles which Kimberly just been trying to tidy up.
Kimberly fell for Armand DeBateau. I wasn't feeling so friendly towards her after this. Why would she go behind my back and do this?! >:( He's so dull and she deserves better. Unfortunately, she kept getting wants related to Armand for the rest of the week. Sigh.
This picture disgusts me.
Fortunately, something good did come out of that trip out. Mya the cat was a worthwhile addition to family and I quickly fell in love with her...
See? She's awesome and even better...
She shares my dislike towards Armand. :3
Samantha was the first to learn of the magical ways...
...and I think Kimberly was a bit jealous.
She wouldn't have to wait long though! At a visit to a diner in Downtown...
...Kimberly got her wish.
Kimberly can not escape from the green sparklies.
Samantha fell for Gabriel Green, who I like about 1259823x more than Armand. Good job Sam!
I'll miss you girls. :')

Honestly, I was just going to use this uberhood as a stepping stone into playing the sims again, and as I've always played my own custom hoods, I wasn't expecting to enjoy myself as I much as I have done here. Now I'm pretty certain this is going to turn into a project and I'll play many more of the maxis families. Of course, I have a few other project ideas up my sleeve ;) but you forget how awesome the maxis families are and I'm looking forward to playing old favourites and new ones like the Cordials!
