Oh yes, it is a good thing, I can tell you that. But you're blowing it out of proportion.

You were jumping up and down in excitement about recieving 11 owls which eventually lead you to have a stich in your side.

Glory of recieving 11 owls? It's not that big of a deal.

NOT THAT BIG A DEAL?! How many times have our teachers stressed how important the OWL results are?? These pave the way of our future! If I hadnt passed Ancient Runes, I couldnt take the NEWTs for them and a passing in NEWTs for Ancient Runes is required for Auror's Training- one of the possible careers I can take after Hogwarts. Same for Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, and DADA. Well now I have opened the door to all these career options and if it weren't for my OWLs I could be looking at a max of two lifestyles ahead of me: school janitor or babysitter.

And yet do you see me jumping up and down over reacting to recieving 11 OWLs? no. I am quite aware of why OWLs are so important and what recieving them leads to. You don't have to preach to me on the importance of them. I get enough of that already.
