(no subject)
yeah so friday night went to the 311 CONCERT with BAILEY AMALIA AND MARIELLE and it was so FREAKING INSANELY AWESOME that words cannot even be used to desribe it. AAAAAHHHHhbut i shall try.
so, first i met them at stang and we drive off on our way and we decide to get wendys...and were all talking about how we the fries are saltier or soemething (i dono?) than the other fast food places and amalia starts yelling "ok YA KNOW WHAT! FINE MARIELLE- GOOOO GET YOUR FRIES FROM MCDONALDS AND YOUR CHICKEN FROM WENDYS, IF THATS WHAT-" and shes all mad at her and mid sentence she comes to a sudden stop and says "hey, look! beacon! remember the beacon guy marielle? ahahaha" yeah- this girl has the attention span of a rabbit. :p and then marielles like "erika...erika lean forward" in a whisper so i do then ashley hits a button and the thing for your head comes flying forward into the back of amalia's head...the result was hilarious. so we go to wendys and we drive up to mansfield where the tweeter center is and i had accidently bought a $30 premier parking ticket online (dont ask how-- it automatically checked it) so of course we have to use it, cos you cant returen things like that(i think) anyway so theres a certain entrance you go through, and we miss the first one and didnt know how to get in but then we see the second one and were like oh ok, lets just ask that guy...well, this is what we all thought anyway. as were getting closer to the guy standing in front of the cones, amalia, not realizing that the window is already down, yells "thats ok ashley, go to that guy- show him your boobs!!" hahaha...:shakes head sadly:
then we step out of the car and were in this huge parking lot and amalias like "oooh i smell weed." but the way she said it was just absolutely hilarious, and baileys like dude your at a 311 concert what did you expect? (and she was right, there were a lot of people on crack there but hey, what can you do right)
we went to get our seats in the lawn
^ wrote this much sunday but had to stop and save it...now im continuing lol...
so, we went to get our seats in the lawn, and we got some tee shirts, etc. etc. ....oh shoot, i forgot, i owe bailey money for that (zzeeks) anyway so we sit downnn and these people are playinggg on the staaage but theyre really baaad and we didnt even realize it was a baaand until after when we heard it on the radiooo.... seriously though, i thought they were doing soundchecks. it was like, horror movie soundtracks meet the bronx (iyiyi) then some really tall guy walked by and kept giving amalia and me double takes and amalias liek "hey! that guy was looking at you!" but i was trying to figure out how many freckles i have on my knee...psh....i am oblivious to everything.
then some guy told us that they had open seats and that we could move into the end sections..so we did. and then we moved down some MORE, so we ended up way closer than we had originally planned, which was awesome.
the roots came on for awhile, didnt know much of their songs except the one thats like "its gonna work bc im pushing it riiight" and thats only bc of mi amigos on the car ride up haha
some guy with a white hat was starting to get drunk at this point and he and his friends were dancing, and he knew a bunch of people were watching him, and his dance moves were absolutely hilarious...the guy right in front of us took his shirt off and was spinnning it around above his head ahaha and at that point i made a friend sitting in front of me, bc we both found this equally pathatic/hilarious/yaaaaa...but then we moved up some more rows, bc some hott but drunk guy spilled beer on marielle :/
aaaaaaahso FINALLY! 311 comes out!!!! YEAAAAAAAH! and just like, they start the first song, and EVERYONE in the entire crowd gets up off their seats....the moon wsa really big and red behind us too, it was awesome....oh, then we saw julie and she was dancing around like a crazy person ;), but we couldnt find z and ben. or dan for that matter...i tihnk he ended up in the pit (ba damnnn) anyway anyway 311 was just ABSOLUTELY great---they were so good live, it was my first time seeing them and they sounded sooo good...there was so much energy, and at one point he asked the crowd between two songs and everybody went crazy during who's got the herb? (bc, well, i think most people there had it- ahaha)two people tried to jump up on the stage and this huuuuge man comes and tackled them off and hes like "yeah...dont fuck with our bodyguards guys." there was this radical drum solo, too, and i lost my voice when they all came out with the cymbols in a line and starting backing him up...dan says they do that every concert, but whatever. aaahhh i cant even describe the type of energy at a concert like that...and how incredibly incredibly awesome they are...even though ive said that, like, five times. during creatures, which was the last song they played, he stopped during the part that says "woooo" and you could hear the entire stadium sing that and then they said it-----awww man, so so so so so so awesome :D
and i got a tee shirt too :D
whhhhewwww ok so then its finally over and everyones all happy and stuff, and were leaving to go to the premium parking lot (hahaha) and as were getting ready to leave, two rows downme and marielle see these two kids getting out their guitars from the back of a jeep and so were like "bailey, go drive by those kids and put down the windows so we can hear them play" but you know instead she just STOPS five feet on the side of them and rolls down the window and amalia (who had shotgun on the way home) yells "what can you guys play??? can you play something for us?" and the one who wasnt tuning his guitar, who was sitting on the ground, he played us a song he made himself which was excellent so baileys like hold on, joking, and gave him 75 cents...so amalia's like "hold on hold on, let me get my purse" and fumbles around for ten minutes till shes liek aha! and gives him a dollar...ahahahaha the curly haired one just looked at me through the back and i was like "yaaaa...these are my friends. :) the kid went awww sweet a green! and we start driving off and amalia says"hey that kid was CUTE too while all of the windows remain open...pshhhhhahaha.
wow so now im just getting tired so ill say the rest quickly- went to mcdonalds saw z and ben ordering food inside through the drive through window yelled their names and amalia yelled "oh- hes ugly!" so the guy serving our food got all sad (ahahahahahaha sh/.) and then we went inside and said hi and they were all sweaty and we were like yeahhhh 311!!! but amalia wanted her fries so we left and i played with my happy meal toy ahahahaha and no one gave amalia any bites of their cheeseburgers and she got very sad, a very sad girl, then we tried to cal lthe radio about he concert cos they were asking but instead they aired KAREN FROM WORCESTERS SHOUTOUT (that little biotch) and so then we came home to baileys and we all went to sleep and amalia tossed around and i snored though i hardly ever snore hahaha then we woke up at six, had muffins, and went to morning practice, half dead and comatosed but amazingly happy and crazy due to the crazy insane concert we had all been a part of the night before. oh, z slept in.
