As I write this,I am not at my pc. I am at the hospital with a pen and notebook waiting for my sister to get her implant operation complete. So in the State of the Eric Address, it has been quite a year. Just so you know, my birthday is coming up, and I feel like making an almost complete rundown of what I have went through, and what I hope I can make happen in the following year. First and foremost, my computer is also undergoing surgery as well. The fan that blows the Celeron chip took a poop so she went under the screwdriver and is currently awaiting a fan transplant. The Symptoms: She would just shut down. Although I could still hear the exhaust fan running, and the task light next to the power button(that usually flickers when first turned on or when a program is launched) did not flicker. It just stayed ON. So I took the side panel off of Messy Stench(Yea, that's what I named my pc when I first bought her) and restarted her and observed. Like clockwork, it went off, and I looked inside to see the fan immobile. At least it wasn't some virus or trojan. But I wiped my HD clean anyway and lost about 90% of my music and files. The other 10% I had previously backed up so its not too bad. Anything else I can remember I know I can get again. but the only bummer was I forgot to back up my phone numbers. Crap. :P Wello as the saying goes: "Once you lose everything, you're free to do anything." So true. Another surprise to me recently is the new addition of music I currently listen to. Some consider it "black Metal", others, "Goth Rock" or "Doom Metal" but I highly doubt the last one, for the fact that they sound nothing like Find . I could be wrong of course. I once carried on an argument(for the fun of it I might add) over a kid who posted a site about Punk Rock. He states that "Good Charlotte is the best punk band ever!" What follows was some back and forth words, and then being accused that I was going above disagreeing with him, and actually doing something about it, I guess like hacking his site or something. Damn. I haven't even learned how to change my background colors in Livejournal. It was entertaining although pointless for a bit. Oops! Sorry, I strayed there. Anyway although there are only two readers to my journal( which I appreciate very much), and I am sure you might have heard a few of these, they are in my current playlist: Kamelot: Xandria My Dying Bride Mortal Love Lacuna Coil(I have heard of them and had alot of their music, but recently really enjoyed.) Inkubus Sukkubus- They do a great cover of The Rolling Stone's 'Paint it Black' Nightwish Although they do have the flavour of "Hard Rock" and/or "Metal", added to it is the flair of an orchestral or symphonic sound. Also, the majority listed have fem singers, and by Goddess, are they welcome to the scene. I remember growing up during the late 80's/early 90's(This was the time when MTV was cool and actually played music) we really had slim pickings when it came to the hard rock club. We had what? Lita Ford, a band called Vixxen(Which could have been the band known as Poison, but that still debatable), and the remnants of Pat Benetar. The closest we had to something hard that I can recall was a lovely little flower by the name of Wendy O. Williams from The Plasmatics. If you do not know her google the band's name and I am sure she will pop up. But in the corner, The Alternative scene was flourishing with females. So I must say, this new music is a breath of fresh air from the sounds of male driven angst. I mean, come on. Kittie could not do it all by themselves. Now, on the date of Sunday, January 31st was a great day for me. I was listening to Messy Stench's radio show, and farting around in her chatroom, when Messy types, "Hey I am gonna give you a call" There were a couple of people that were also typing, but on air I heard "IMDEAD!!! So I typed 'ok'. I grabbed the cordless phone and began t sweat. My sister's cell phone rings and I tell her calmly "ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!!! and it was her! She asked me if I wanted to go 'live' on her show, and of course like I would turn that down. I was nervous as hell, It was fun. I mostly bullshitted aboutour birthdays(hers is on the 9th, mine is on the 7th), about last week's show with Dave, my stupid obsession of her, and just fucking around. I also got to give a shout out to my sis who was listening while I was in the other room. I have to send her some pics of my sis' prosthetic boob she had to wear before she got the permanent one though heheh... Messy fucking rocks. Now that I have returned home, I can tell you that her operation went smoothly without any hitches. She slept most of the day, but at about 6:30pm I woke her and asked if she was hungry. Of course she was. She pretty much ordered a whole cow, and a bunch of sides. I stole the cottage cheese though. Well, so much for the State of the Eric Address. His state is now drunk, and he is going to sleep
