Right. So. My name is Charlie and this is my blog.
I can talk about anything I want here, right? There's no one here to tell me that my ideas are stupid or to shut me up when I start babbling. What an excellent idea! Why didn't I start a blog sooner? You know, that would have come in really handy in the early days of the band. I could have used it for promotions and updated people on gig dates and the like. Any news is good news, and any news about Drive Shaft is the best news!
That wasn't very much of a paragraph was it? I need something new to talk about. Let's think of a random word. Shoes. Ok. I can do that. My favourite pair of shoes are these old beaten up Vans with a yellow and black checkered pattern on the top, white around the sides and they have no laces. I like that there are no laces. I can just shove my foot into the shoe and kick them off without worrying about tying and untying. When I was little my mum taught me the bunny ears way of tying shoes. You make the bunny ears with the loops, then you cross them and pull one of the ears through. I liked the idea at first because bunnies were cool, but then it seemed mean to twist their ears like that. Maybe that's why I don't like laces. I'm thinking of the rabbits. Look at me, I'm humane!
That was slightly better. It's sad that I talked more about bloody shoes than the band. Don't worry, bloggerites! (is that what you call blog readers?) There will be much more about the band to come!
One time I puked into a copy machine.
I like birds. The pretty ones that sing well, mind you, not the ugly squawky ones like crows. Who likes crows? Not me, and especially not farmers. That's what scarecrows are for, because nobody likes the birds that steal your vegetables. It must be sad to be a crow though if nobody likes you. I would say that they're the pariah of the bird community, but they're not really because they're thieves and people have a good reason not to like them. Though maybe they're just hungry and cranky because they're ugly. Note to self: investigate on whether or not crows are really as nasty as we think they are, or just misunderstood.
I think that was enough topics for my first blog entry. In recap, I talked about: using a blog, Drive Shaft, shoes (the best pair of shoes in the world, thank you), how bunny ear laces lead to problems, getting sick in the copy machine, and I raised a new debate topic about crows.
