[Just outside the village proper, the Doctor is wandering about, utterly perplexed as to why he is half-naked. The skinny bloke is a bit self-conscious, not to mention a little chilled given he had grown so accustomed to donning multiple layers. The wings also leave him highly perturbed.]
What- wings? Surely the TARDIS could not have damaged my

The Doctor sighs through his nose and chews on his bottom lip in frustrated thought. He did not like the sound of this. Even if this time around it wasn't the Daleks, someone had the ability to get inside the TARDIS. Not only that, but to relocate it and all his possessions in the short amount of time he must have been unconscious. Whoever had done this clearly knew what they were doing, and who he was. Whatever it was they wanted him for he had a feeling it wouldn't be good. Good citizens ask him to come and help, after all.
Jumbled thoughts aside, he met her gaze and gave her a curious look. Despite the wings, she looked human. Bit of an attitude, but other than that he didn't feel anything out of the ordinary about her.]
Tell me about this "Luceti", - I'm sorry, what did you say your name was?

[Her arms limp at her sides, she kinda manages at least a friendly inclination of her head. The guy had such a wild look on his face and she could only imagine that he must be over-thinking the entire thing. Sure symptom of a hero-complex.
Pursing her lips, Buffy shook her head.] Luceti's a glorified prison with the added bonus of most of life's little necessities being fabulously free. But we're still stuck here as lab-rats for the Malnosso. Unless, of course, your big fat metaphorical number gets drawn and you get the one-way ticket back home minus some memories. That's how the story's being passed around, at least.

What do these "Malnosso" do to you? Experiments?
[His expression softens a little and he tries to come off as less panicked. He flashes her a smile.]
But it's a pleasure to meet you, Buffy Summers. [He offers her a hand.] I'm the Doctor.

[Never mind that Buffy quite willingly had signed up to go--after all, she had a bone to pick with the opposing force's General--but her volunteerism was destined to secrecy. She doesn't want her coping mechanisms dragged in front of the public's eye.]
Another doctor, huh? [She throws a hand out to him in casual greeting.] McCoy'll might be glad to find a colleague.

So, they're turning you into soldiers, then?
[Takes her hand and shakes it arduously.] I'll see what I can do.

[Her eyes narrow at him.] But what do you mean, you'll see what you can do? People've been doing that here for years and guess what? Square Onesville.

Ah, but I'm no ordinary doctor, you see.
Reply
Is that so? What, are you more nose? Less ear and throat?

You see, my name is the Doctor. It's not my profession.

[Resisting the temptation to just turn and walk away.]

[He's really not sure if it'd be a good idea to give away the name of his species or not. Though he has a feeling the Malnosso must know already.]

No no no! Nothing of the sort! I'm otherworldly, but not in that way. No, Time Lord. Not demon.

[And instinctively, her eyes flicker to his wrists. Just in case.]

[Has lost count of how many times he's had to make this explanation.]

Another doctor and another alien. How unsurprising.
