Fart smell and hard apple cider
So Eric's doing some homebrewing (mostly some pretty badass beers) and one of the things he's making is apfelwein (basically hard apple cider). The rest is self explanatory.

[17:19] Eric: apparently it gives off h2s during fermentation
[17:19] DanWhoLikesPie: uh-oh...
[17:19] DanWhoLikesPie: That's hydrogen sulfide, right?
[17:19] DanWhoLikesPie: AKA fart smell?
[17:19] Eric: yup
[17:19] Eric: aka swamp gas
[17:19] Eric: aka highly toxic too
[17:19] DanWhoLikesPie: Sadly, that's one of the few things I remember from high school chemistry.
[17:20] Eric: haha yeah....its as toxic as hydrogen cyanide

[17:20] Eric: i highly doubt itll reach the 300ppm or so to be that toxic...
[17:21] Eric: but exposure to more like 75 ppm for relatively short periods can leave lasting effects for a few weeks
