what i learned from being homecoming chair:
1. it takes over your entire life.
2. you miss your friends way too much- especially when you get text messages and calls wondering where you have been for the last couple of months
3. you will have to get used to never sleeping on a regular time schedule.
4. no matter how prepared you think you, you still havent done anything.
5. people you think you can rely on never follow through with their duties.
6. you think being in a fraternity isnt all that bad
7. doing the macarena at 4am is actually a comic relief
8. jimmy dean sausage biscuits are best when they are a little raw in the middle.
9. not everyone is going to show up prepared to work long hours.
10. suddenly traveling to walmart only once a night becomes scarce.
11. the realization that all the pomp is gone becomes a regular occurance
12. then realizing napkins are your best friend.
13. getting high off of spray addhesive becomes a pick-me-up for the moment.
14. that it is quite humorous to watch what girl will go in what guy's room next- and count the time.
15. that if youre not careful you will have everyone in a room singing Disney songs.
16. conversations in the chapter room can easily and quickly turn into a political debate.
17. that pledges are by far the best resource on the planet.- thank the greek gods for them.
18. sleeping through class isnt really a big deal- when else are you going to catch Zzz's?
19. that failing a test is usually dirt you can dust off your shoulders
and 20. realizing how much you love your sisters no matter what the circumstances are.
