Quick update. Woo hoo.
Forgotten from last week - So, I forgot, last week, on the 4th, I was sitting home, playing some Still Life, when my phone rings. I didn't recognize the number, and usually I wouldn't have answered, but I thought it may be work related. So I answer and can't hear and I'm all "hello.... uh....hello?" and I hear this shy, familiar, voice finally saying hello back. It was my ex Courtney, from like almost 2 years ago. I haven't talked to her in over a year and didn't expect to hear from her ever again, which was fine with me. Anyway, she calls, says she's "just calling old friends to say happy 4th", and is all asking how I've been, what I've been up to, and blah blah blah, even though I know she has one thing on her mind. I tell her life is great, I have a cool job, an AMAZING girlfriend, and shit is going good. So even after mentioning
Sassy_mollassey she still has the audacity to ask if I want to come over to have some drinks. WTF? I tell her I was busy and didn't feel like going out, she sounded sad and I ask what's wrong (even though I already knew the answer), and she says "well, it's the 4th and I'm bored and I haven't seen you in forever". "And?", I say. "And, well, my boyfriend dumped me last week and I'm really lonely, and I thought we could hang out". I said that sucks, then said I had to go to talk to my Jennie, then hung up. So yeah, we don't talk for over a year, then she calls up trying to get ass, ok, fine, we had a past, she's lonely, I get it, but the fact that I tell her I have a girlfriend, and she STILL asks me to come over, what a fucking whore. Anyway...
Friday - Woke up, showered, packed, headed down to see Jennie. Drive kind of sucked seeing as Tuesday night I had my last cigarette. Jennie and I are quitting and all had been going fine since I'd just been sitting around, not driving too much, but this was my first big drive with no smoking, and it sucked at first, but after a half hour I really didn't even think about it. Drive drive drive. Got there, went to her sisters, got some Chilis and played Mario Party, then home, Jennie fell asleep and I stayed up and watched some Batman: The Animated Series. I just won the 3 volumes off ebay last week and they were delivered today. In stores they are about $55 a piece and I found a listing on ebay for all 3 for $50. What a great deal. Anyways, watched some of them, then bed.
Saturday - Woke up, went to Olive Garden with Jennie, her mom, her sister, and her old teacher. Eat eat eat, then went to Barnes and Nobles, I ended up buying Batman: Year One and Batman: The Dark Night Returns, then we went to Toys R Us to buy a board game. We ended up getting this DVD movie game, then home and played it. It was ok, would've been a lot lot better, but it was only MGM movies, and most of those suck. The Jennie made the BEST tacos I have ever had and we watched The Day after the Tomorrow, which was pretty cool and interesting. Some TV, then bed.
Sunday - Not much, went to Atlanta Bread Company and got lunch, then I had to head for home. Drive drive drive, picked up a new video from Andrew, home, dinner, TV, found out liek 15 bands I like have released new albums in the past few months and DLed a bunch of new music, then sleep.
Monday - Edited all day as Andrew needed the video back ASAP. So yeah, edit all day, as well as watching more Batman: The Animated Series.
Today - Went to Andrews to drop off the video, got paid, cashed check, then to Best Buy to get Cry-Baby, which I've been waiting to come out on DVD for about 6 years. While there I also ended up getting Donnie Brasco, Ninth Gate, and The Astronauts Wife. When I went to check out the girl was "Hmmm, SOMEONE likes Johnny Depp". Yes, The Depp rocks. After that I went home, watched Cry-baby then CSI, and now I'm off to JD's with
caducusa,
p0sta1, and Dan, which may suck since it's the first time drinking since I quit smoking. I'm going to be strong though and not smoke. Anyways, out for now.
