Ack, I'm all sick and figued I may as well update while I'm sitting around.
Monday-Woke up, felt a trifle bit ill, nothin too bad really, sat around all day working on my next tattoo, then went in to work. Got to work and after about 10 minutes I felt like complete shit and asked the other busser if I could be cut first as I felt like ass, he said "um.. fuck no, I don't want to stay late", I told him I'd give him $5, he still said no. So I went and told my supervisor I felt like complete shit and requested to be cut 1st, he said it would be fine. I worked 2 hours or so then went home and felt like such shit that I actually fell asleep at about 10:30.
Tuesday-Woke up at about 7am feeling like even more ass, I was so sore I could barely move and my head and nose were crazy stuffy. I sat around a bit watching TV then headed to WAL*MART for some meds andfood and DVDs. I got some OJ and Soup and nyquil. They didn't have one of the DVDs I wanted to I decided to go to Best Buy since I was gonna need some movies to watch being stuck in bed all day. So, headed down there, which sucked because I felt so terrible, plus I couldn't find my glasses, so I could barely see, but I got there, picked up my DVDs(Finding Neverland, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Volume 1, and Wicker Park) and tried to leave but some dumb employee kept asking if I found everything OK and when he saw what I had selected he had to tell me how great they were and all this other shit, I tried being nice about having to go, but after about 5 minutes I just said "wow, thats great" then walked away. Paid, went home, called work to let them know I was feeling way to sick to come in, the manager was "Um... it's 11am, you don't work till 6, I'm sure you'll be fine", I told her how I'd been throwing up all morning and feel very light headed, she again said "I'm sure you'll be fine, see how you feel around 3 and we'll DISCUSS you not coming in" WTF?? Anywaym took some meds, put on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and fell alseep in about 5 minutes.
Woke up almost 3 hours later, had a bowl of soup, still felt like ass, sat around a bit then called work to let them know I still felt like shit, boss lady was still pissed and was "Are you SURE you don't feel good, we really need you to come in" I explained how I'd love to because I need the money, but it'll be hard to bus tables with me throwing up every 15 minutes and barely being able to stand, she just said "fine, but you better be fine by tomorrow". Guh, wtf ever. Laid back in bed, watched my movies then towards 10ish I was feeling better and played some Zelda: 4 Swords, finally beat it, Gannon was crazy easy, I don't think he took more than 2 hearts from me. Ending was the same as every zelda game, "darkness sealed away... world safe once again... but for how long..." yadda yadda yadda. Then sleep.
Wednesday-Woke up feeling wonderful, 99% better. Was greatly surprised. Spent the day playing Star Wars: Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy then headed off to work. As I stated I felt fine all day, but once I got in the car this sickness overwhelmed me. I got really dizzy and nauseous and just felt very weak. I tried to deal and went to work anyway. I got there and barely made it 10 minutes before feeling like I was going to literally pass out. Yeah, I suck. Then he asked me about my tattoos, he showed me his super cool tribal arm band( rolls eyes ), that doesn't even go all around his arm cuz "the inside hurts too much". Pussy. Anyways, I asked him if I can be cut first and I explain how I feel terribly ill and that I'm about to pass out, and first he says no, then I say "well, c'mon, you only have one shift this week, and if you're cut first youll leave at like 8, so that $9 you get plus maybe $10 in tips for the whole week, I have plenty hours and feel like shit, how about you let me get cut first?" He says his parents are rich and doesn't need money, he just needs the job for school. I asked once more, basically begged "C'MON!! Have a heart, I feel like I'm going to pass out, PLEASE let me go first"(I would've asked a manager first but I already left early Monday and called in yesterday and they seemed mad enough about it already) and he says "Tell ya what, I'll rock/paper/scissor you for it". By then I just gave up and told him to forget it and "thanks for your compassion".
So I go on to bus some tables, I get to this one table, it looked kinda messy(napkins/silverware unwrapped, empty soda, near empty beer) so I start bussing it then some guy and his like 7 yr old son come to me and the guy is all "Um... WTF?? Where's all our stuff, we're not done eating" I apologized and said I saw no one there and empty glasses so I figured it all was done, he was an asshole about it and was "well, we're not, so wtf, get it fixed" I told him "yeah, no prob, lemme get your waitress" and as I'm leaving he's muttering how "they hire idiots here, these people are so dumb, etc etc etc". I wanted to fucking choke him. Lets think, empty glasses, crumpled napkins, no one at the table... gee, they must still be eating. God I hate people sometimes. So, more bussing, more feeling about to pass out, one of my bosses sees me sitting down at almost every table I bus and she gets on the head set and tells me I'm not allowed to sit down, I explain to her that when I'm standing I feel like I'm going to pass out and how I thought I was all better but still felt like shit. She said "oh, well, I'll get you cut as soon as possile"(that was my one cool boss by the way, in fact the lady on the phone yesterday wasn't even my boss, she is boss of wait staff, which isn't me, but she was the only boss there when I called, o well). A bit more bussing, at one point the "sometimes cool" manager calls the other busser and I to the front and is all "Who bussed this table, who bussed this one?" we both said we didn't know, because each table probably needs to be bussed like 4 times a shift and we don't have assigned areas so we don't know who did which last, we bus so many and they all look alike it's not like it's easy to keep track. He says "I find that hard to believe"(that we didn't know who did it, I wanted to explain to him why we didn't know but I didn't want to argue as I felt like shit), "but anyways, what's wrong with this table? and this one? and that one over there? They're all still very messy and don't look like they were done properly, I don't know who's responsible, but lets get them done correctly." Now, I wanted to bust out and say "WELL, let's look at it like this, I've been working almost everynight the past 2 weeks with random bussers, never any complaints, right? Then all of a sudden this kid, who, by the way, doesn't care about his job because his parents are rich and he only works here because he can slack and its and easy way to get school credit, shows up after being on vacation for 3 weeks and it just so happens the night he gets back there's problems with the tables? GEE, I WONDER WHO IT IS??", but again, I'm sick, didn't wanna argue, whatever.
So like 10 minutes later, she gives me my tips from Sunday and Monday and tells me I can leave. I got $50 for the 7 hours I worked Sunday and Monday, not bad at all, considering I get another $3/h on top of that AND $30 of those tips were from Monday when I only worked 2 hours, which, when added with my hourly wage, means I made about $18 an hour. I went home, took some meds, watched some TV, then sleep.
Today-Woke up, I had a head ache, was sore all over, dizzy, nauseous, the works, just like a bad hang over, only I haven't had a drink since last Thursday. Laid around a bit, watched some TV, then called work and said I still felt terrible and couldn't make it in, anotehr asshole boss was there and said that next time I come in I better have a doctors note. Whatever, made an appointment for tomorrow so I can get a note, no biggie. Felt like shit, all day, decided to watch the entire Lord of the Rings Extended Trilogy. Started at about 2 and I'm about 10 minutes from the end of disc 1 of ROTK. Damn these movies are long. But I love them oh so much. So, did that all day and read old journal entries and thats about it. I'm going to finish this movie, then go to sleep and hopefully feel OK tomorrow so I can see my sassy_mollassey
sidenote-WTF is up with work getting pissy for people calling in sick. I understand it's a business and it depends on employees to work there, but if one person calls in, and gives plenty notice to find someone to cover, I don't see the big deal. I mean, people can't help it when they get sick. I can see if it's someone that calls in all the time, but if they're a normally dependable person and they come in to work and obviously look like shit, then they call in the next day, why get mad? I'm sure they didn't go and get sick on purpose. I don't know, I'd just rather be short one employee one or two days so they can rest and get better and come back to work, than having them come in feeling like shit, not working to potential, getting other employees sick who then call in sick. And hell, if you(the manager/boss) can't find someone to cover, then try to help out a bit yourself. worst is probably finding out this girl I totally was in love with and was ready to marry, had been cheating on me with numerous guys(including the guy who did my tattoos) for about 2 months, us breaking up, and me losing my job (this all this in the same weekend, 3 days before my birthday), a few weeks later her moving out of our apartment, then getting an IM from her 2 months later letting me know she was enaged had a miscarriage a few weeks prior and was pregnant again. wa-freaking-hoo. But I'm over her now and couldn't care less, but still, at the time, that totally sucked.

litte kids that think they are all punk and unique because they shop at hot topic and have the same piercings, people that come into a tattoo shopp and say "I have XXX amount of $$$, I want a tattoo, but I don't know what I want, can I get it today?", 12 year old girls that wear make up and miniskirts, how it's cool to be unintelligent and thugish and do massive amounts of drugs and sleep around, all these suburban white kids that act all thugged out like theyre from the ghetto while they ride in their brand new SUV mommy and daddy bought for them. hell, 99% of the teen population as well as people that will go through lines at the supermarket with their hair done all nice wearing nice clothes and 5 lbs of gold jewelery and a new pedicure and behind them is their 5 kids dressed in rags and they pay in food stamps
